I have been seeing this movie promotion but never had an interest to see it until I saw on an IG page where it was being discussed and I picked interest to see it.

Sistá started with two teenagers in love and eventually Victoria (Sistá) got pregnant and their parents being real Nigerians pushed both of them to start a family together without their support. I watched sistá help her 200level boyfriend throughout the university with her hustling here and there. On his departure for NYSC he just left a letter and that was it. I felt so heart broken for sistá because she was just 19 left with a 2 years old son and she was heavily pregnant. She saw her children through school with her cleaning job and gave her children little above what we call average in Nigeria.

Here is the real gist, when she met Fola for the first time he didn't even recognize her it took him seeing her and her children together to juggle his memory and then boom he just wanted to to be in their lives. I do not blame the children for jumping into the offer and forgetting their mother's struggle because they felt life has suddenly become easy and their mom need not to slave her self anymore. Watching that scene it took me to moments where I have said in ny fantacy "can Dangote just wake up one day and say he is my father and I will just jump on the offer and change my name". This is me here in my imagination being very selfish, and if it happened in reality I would think my mother being angry and pained is her embracing suffering, I think that was what was on the children's mind.

I felt for Sistá, because big Folarin was being very very selfish. Just like every deadbeat dad that feel they can just show up and everything is ok because they feel they have money so everything should be forgotten and Just sorry is enough to fix it all and everybody moves on.
Big Folarin never looked for Victoria (Sistá) he moved on with his new life and even got a new family. Never even looked for her to support her with money for the children for over 18 years since he got another family and then boom he just saw them and want to be in their life.

Another character I love is Folarin's Wife she took it upon her self to make sure her husband did the right thing. She even called him to order when she figured he was being selfish and neglecting her feelings and Sistá's feelings. To me this is woman supporting woman. When she found out she didn't dissuade her husband from doing the right. I love that.

Another character I love is aunty J. Aunty J was really a friend to sister despite their social differences and she was always supporting Sistá and her family for the number of years they have known each other.

It is a movie that I gladly recommend for everyone. Omo single mother's are really really trying oh. kudus to all of you. You all are really trying.
